Polkadots is located at 2826 Rio Grande st (at the intersection
of 28 1/2 st and Rio Grande) in a house built in 1908.
It still has the original beam ceilings, tiles in the bathroom
floor, along with other old-school features hidden inside
the walls. I actually used to work here when it was a burger 
delivery place called Rockets and when I found out that the
place was available, we signed the lease immediately and the
rest is our short history.

Our pastry chef graduated from UT with a chemical engineering
degree then continued her education at California
school of culinary arts and graduated top of her class.  
She moved back to Texas and took a cubicle job with a major
consulting company and while working there, developed the
formulas for our delicious cupcakes. When we finally found our
space, we dropped everything and opened up our store as fast as
we could.

You can buy a few or many cupcakes as you like and we also
do cakes and hand-iced cookies by special order.
